Sunday is for DOGA! Mahny Djahanguiri will host an introductory class followed by restorative GONG bath

Mahny is the founder of Doga a human yoga practise that helps support the natural bond we have with our dogs. Furry friends can help owners enormously with their mental health and well-being so to help strengthen that sacred bond, she will be teaching a 75 minute Virtual Introduction to Doga so owners can learn more.

Doga is lots of fun, can help de-stress both you and your dog, strengthen your bond, build trust and decrease anxiety and depression. Yes! Dogs can be depressed during lockdown too so come and feel the benefits to you both. You don’t need to be experienced in Yoga or Doga to join as this lesson is for complete beginners!

To join on Zoom you will need to download Zoom to your phone/tablet/compter/laptop register for an account and enter the following details:

Mahny explains “Instead of seeing dogs as a distraction on our yoga mats they are a crucial integration which enhances our serotonin and oxytocin levels (happy hormones) when we apply yogic breathe, posture practice, chanting and canine massage. In this stressful times lets help our dogs “destress” through our yoga and strengthen your natural bond through the art of letting go”.

The class will end with a relaxing and restorative gong bath led by Selma Studer, founder of London’s first dedicated sound meditation studio, GONG. A gong bath is a form of sound therapy that can evoke a meditative state and help bring about balance to the body and mind. It’s a chance to tune in and ground yourself in sound. The pawfect end to our doggy wellness weekend! Namaste and woofs to all.

Anyone with or without a dog can join the wellness weekend, you can join the Zoom Rave, Wellness Room and. Doga through Zoom as a participant or you can watch live through a Facebook stream.
