POP+BARK Event Terms & Conditions

We’re all about creating safe, joyful and inclusive spaces where dogs and humans can socialise together. Please read these important terms carefully before attending one of our events.

Please note: While these are our standard event terms, details may vary slightly depending on the type of event. Specific terms for each event will be confirmed on the ticket page and listed in the checkout process. We recommend reading all information carefully before attending.

SAFETY

For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, we kindly ask that all guests follow these guidelines:

  • Bring friendly, well-socialised and fully vaccinated dogs
  • Dogs can be off-lead inside the venue, but please supervise them at all times—they remain your responsibility
  • Always pick up after your dog and dispose of waste in the bins provided
  • Do not bring aggressive or reactive dogs to an event
  • Do not bring dogs who are pregnant or in season—for their own wellbeing and the safety of others

Our Commitment to Safety

With over six years of experience hosting dog events, we take safety seriously. For every event, we:

  • Dog-proof all indoor venues to ensure they’re safe and secure
  • Carry out a full risk assessment in advance
  • Clean, sanitise and safety check all props and play areas
  • Ensure all staff are trained dog handlers and comfortable with canine behaviour
  • Have a trained dog first-aider on site at every event

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • All dogs attending must be friendly, well-socialised, and up to date with vaccinations. (Please note: we do not check vaccination records, but ask owners to act responsibly.)
  • Dogs displaying aggressive or anti-social behaviour may be asked to leave the event.
  • Responsibility:
POP+BARK (the organiser) and the venue do not accept liability for the actions of any dog or attendee. You are solely responsible for your dog’s behaviour. If your dog harms another dog or person, you are liable.
  • Public Liability:
We recommend you check your pet insurance to ensure you are covered for public liability in the event of an incident.
  • If you are bringing multiple dogs, please bring enough people to care for them safely. A ratio of 1 person per 2 dogs is recommended.
  • If you or your dog are harmed by another guest’s dog, this is a matter to resolve with the other dog’s owner directly. POP+BARK staff cannot mediate or be held responsible.

Ticketing

  • Please purchase the correct ticket:
    • If anyone in your group is bringing a dog, all human attendees must purchase Owner Tickets
    • If no dog is attending with your group, you must purchase Dog Lover Tickets
  • Children:
    • Children 16 or under are welcome at a discounted rate
    • Children 6 or under go free but still require a ticket at checkout
  • Dog Tickets are free but must still be ordered at checkout. Please do not arrive without a ticket for your dog.
If you have purchased an Owner ticket but arrive without a dog, you may be asked to pay the difference and a service fee to convert to a Dog Lover ticket—this is at the discretion of the organisers.

Refunds & Transfers

  • We operate a No Refund Policy due to the nature of these events.
  • You have a 24-hour cooling-off period from the time of purchase. If you need to cancel during this time, email hello@popandbark.com—please note the booking fee is non-refundable in all instances apart from within the 24 hour cooling off period or if we cancel the event.
  • After 24 hours, tickets are non-refundable, but you may transfer your ticket to a friend or family member (subject to approval by the organisers).
  • If we must cancel the event, we will offer either:
    • A refund minus the booking fee per paid ticket
    • OR a credit voucher to attend a future event

Dog Policy for Breed-Specific Events

Some of our events are breed-specific. For example:

  • Golden Retriever Cafe is for Golden Retrievers and mixes that are at least 50% Golden Retriever
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate doggy siblings or guests of other breeds at breed-specific events

Where needed, we may ask for your dog’s breed during checkout to help us plan and ensure the right mix of dogs attend.

Photography & Media

  • Professional photography or videography (e.g. for commercial use) is not permitted without prior approval.
  • POP+BARK may film or photograph the event. By attending, you acknowledge that your image or footage of your dog may appear in:
    • Event promotion
    • Social media content
    • Website materials
    • Press or marketing campaigns

If you would like your image removed from published material OR you would not like to be photographed, please contact help@popandbark.com. While we’ll do our best, in some cases, content may have already been published or your image may be captured by fellow guests and cannot be removed from public circulation.

Right to Amend

POP+BARK reserves the right to amend, reschedule or cancel events at any time. We will always aim to provide as much notice as possible in the event of any changes.
